Summary

The Role

At Messari, the sales team serves as a trusted advisor for prospects and customers. As a Commercial Account Executive, you will work with prospects through the entire buying process, from initial evaluation to close, and through onboarding. You will be the primary point of contact until post closing when you will hand off the relationship to the Customer Success team. Typical responsibilities will include deep prospecting, building both strategic and transactional pipelines, progressing deals through the pipeline, and ultimately, closing business. You will mostly be working with new logo accounts, supplied both by your own prospecting efforts and Messaris inbound lead engine as well. Commercial Account Executives will consistently make a significant impact by generating and closing millions of dollars of new business pipeline each year.

You will have the opportunity to work on a fast-paced team and interface directly with business leaders of some of the worlds largest organizations. You will be asked to work with a high level of organization, process, and sales skills. Account Executives should also have a strong understanding of the Crypto Markets, of the largest players in those markets, and of the Messari Enterprise Platform. 

Responsibilities 

  • Prospect into target new business accounts via cold call, email, LinkedIn, and social strategies 
  • Drive sales by serving as a trusted advisor to our customers, focusing largely on new business and transactional business opportunities
  • Adapt sales strategies to address specific business needs and pain points of each prospect, effectively showcasing how Messari solutions can solve their specific challenges.
  • Maintain and organize pipeline and sales process within Salesforce
  • Be a subject matter expert and evangelist of Messaris expansive list of industry solutions 
  • Continuously monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to stay informed of industry changes and technological advancements.

Requirements 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communication or a related field 
  • 2-3 years of experience in a quota carrying position 
  • Experience with outreach such as cold calling and emailing 
  • Intense passion for crypto and for building a business from the ground up
  • Strong time management and organization skills 
  • Previous experience using CRM, data analytics, and marketing automation  software is preferred  
  • Experience in SaaS software, cryptocurrency or FinTech is highly preferred

Compensation - $128,000 OTE and equity.
