The Role: Associate, Accounts Payable & Receivable
Gemini is looking to hire an account payable specialist responsible for accounts payable and client invoicing. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing and high quality, established digital asset exchange that is regulated by the New York State Department of Financial Services and others globally. This appointment will be central to our continued scaling as an organization and efforts to increase transparency. This role will report directly to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and have significant exposure to the Revenue Accounting Manager and Head of Procurement You will be involved in high volume areas impacting the Finance department as well as the overall organization.
Responsibilities:
- Daily invoice processing and management for US and International regions.
- Preparing semi-monthly payments through the bank portal, ensuring accurate forecasts for funding requirements.
- Ensure timely payment and responsiveness to vendors.
- Monthly billing and invoice preparation of custodial client balances.
- Support ad hoc activities defined by the Chief Accounting Officer and Head of Transformation.
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in accounting, economics, finance or related field.
- 2+ years work experience in accounting.
- Experience working in an accounting function within a large enterprise general ledger (Sage Intacct, Netsuite, etc).
- Willingness and commitment to learn.
- Previous AP/AR experience in a regulated industry or multinational is preferable.
- We highly value experience managing numerous competing deliverables.
- An understanding of basic accounting.
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and ownership of areas.
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and changing financial environment with the demonstrated capacity for excellent judgment, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and relationship building abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a global team, navigating time zone differences.
