About the team + role

Robinhood is looking for a highly capable AV Production Manager to join our growing Corporate Engineering team. In this role, you will be coordinating and managing all technical aspects of audio-visual productions, including live events, broadcasts, recordings, and presentations. They ensure that the technical elements, such as sound, lighting, and video, meet the highest standards of quality and are executed according to the client's specifications.

What you’ll do

Company Marketing Events:

1. DRI for technical event productions, operations and live-streams.

Project Planning and Coordination:

1. Collaborate with internally and externally with clients, producers, directors, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements.
2. Develop detailed plans and timelines for audio-visual productions, considering technical needs, equipment requirements, and logistical constraints.
3. Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and equipment suppliers to secure necessary resources.

Team Management:

1. Recruit, train, and supervise a team of technicians, including AV systems engineers and vendors.
2. Provide guidance, support, and feedback to team members to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Budgeting and Resource Management:

1. Develop and manage budgets for audio-visual productions, including equipment rental, labor costs, and other expenses.
2. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize waste, while ensuring that quality standards are maintained.
3. Source cost-effective solutions and negotiate favorable terms with vendors and suppliers to control expenses.

Quality Control and Compliance:

1. Implement quality control measures to ensure that audio-visual productions meet the highest standards of technical excellence and client satisfaction.
2. Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in AV production to continuously improve processes and outcomes.

Documentation and Reporting:

1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment inventory, technical specifications, production schedules, and other relevant information.
2. Generate reports on project progress, budgetary status, technical issues, and other key metrics for internal review and client communication.
3. Evaluate the success of audio-visual productions based on predefined criteria and feedback from stakeholders, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
