Summary

Bitpanda Custody builds Trust Vault, a platform for safe storage of crypto assets and a window to the world of Defi. It is the chosen asset custodian for crypto institutions, with increasing interest from banks as TradFi business diversify more into Crypto. Via the TrustVault Metamask extension, customers can connect their funds and interact with DeFi apps and exchanges. At Custody you’ll have direct exposure to systems that create, manage, authorise, sign and publish transactions to the blockchain. We build wallets for Bitcoin, Ethereum + EVM based chains, Cardano, Ripple, Solana, with more in the works. Meaning we get right down to the low level aspects of constructing and sending blockchain transactions and build the infrastructure to do so.

You’ll be working on chain support, interaction with blockchain systems, design & implementation of an event-driven and distributed environment in AWS, and delivery of the roadmap of features for both internal consumers of the platform and external customers. You’ll see all parts of the SDLC, from design to prototyping to implementation to testing to release.

  1. Work directly on building new features and services related to Bitpanda’s Custody product offering.
  2. Develop clean, scalable and maintainable solutions for high performance backend systems with event driven architecture hosted on AWS.
  3. Work on loosely coupled microservices that support core business service of the entire organisation.
  4. Join a motivated team of highly skilled, experienced developers that can support and mentor you on your learning journey. 

Who you are

  1. You have intermediate or higher Javascript knowledge with awareness of API development. For example a solid understanding of language fundamentals, functional and OO programming approaches, and attention to code quality, readability, and maintainability.
  2. Experience with relational or NoSQL databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB) and knowledge on API design, websocket and network communication
  3. Basic knowledge of event driven design, like event streams, message brokers (e.g. Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ or AWS Event Bridge)
  4. Familiarity with any of the following are a huge bonus: Typescript, AWS Services, trading/markets, blockchain knowledge, DevOps infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, AI, smart contracts, Cryptonodes, Web3
