Summary

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Backend Software Engineer to join our team of talented developers that share a common interest in microservices backend systems, their scalability, and continued development. You will be part of the team responsible for building the systems that power our Chiliz platform. While this is an individual contributor role, as a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional agile team, you’ll be involved in many aspects, helping evolve our existing architecture and implementing new features and functionality.

This role is available for all qualified candidates based in France. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

1. Develop, deploy and operate PHP-written microservices.
2. Build server-side REST APIs.
3. Build reliable and resilient software for fintech environments. 
4. Anticipate scalability and performance issues.
5. Ensure code quality through tests, in accordance with good practices;
6. Participate in code reviews.
7. Be a force of technical and functional proposals.

7. You enjoy looking "under the hood", and like to dig into code to understand how it works. 
8. You have good knowledge, or you want to learn the following areas: API, system design with a Product Owner, design pattern, data structure, caching strategies. 
9. You are willing to learn new technologies, but you have experience with PHP, Symfony (or any modern PHP frameworks), relational SQL databases. 
10. You have excellent writing and communication skills in the English language.
