Summary

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a Blockchain Engineer - EVM Specialist to join our team of talented developers who share a common interest in distributed systems, their scalability, and continued development. You will be part of the team responsible for building the Chiliz chain that powers the Socios platform. 

This role is available for all qualified candidates based in Europe. Remote working arrangements will be provided either based on a Full-time employment contract or consultancy agreement depending on the tax residency within the EU.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Building Web3 interfaces that are directly interacting with the blockchain
2. Mentor and guide other engineers in advancing their skills and knowledge in Blockchain development
3. Maintain and improve existing products
4. Work closely with engineers and product managers on new features
5. Ensure code quality through tests, in accordance with good practices
6. Participate in code reviews
7. Anticipate scalability and performance issues
8. Be a force of technical and functional proposals

Requirements:

1. 3+ years of experience in developing Blockchain applications
2. Must be based in Europe
3. Strong communication skills, including the ability to mentor and effectively convey complex technical concepts
4. Good knowledge of EVM compatible chains
5. Experience working on any of the following: 
6. EVM clients (ex: go-ethereum/ geth, bsc-geth, ..)
7. Low level tokenomics
8. Consensus mechanisms (ex: Parlia, Clique, PoW, Lachesis, BFT, ….)
9. Very good knowledge of Solidity or Vyper
10. Good knowledge with best practices for securing smart contracts and App development
11. Good knowledge of tools like: Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry, Brownie, Slither, Solhint, etc.
12. Knowledge of decentralised infrastructure: components such as IPFS, Swarm, and Whisper.
13. Good level of basic tools: Git, VSCode, JIRA
14. Ability to work remotely, independently and collaboratively in a team
15. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
16. Willing to explore new things; curious; 

Good to have:

1. Any other Blockchain knowledge (other blockchains, scaling solutions, … )
2. Experienced with low-level languages such Golang
3. Very good knowledge of Solidity or Vyper
4. Previous mentoring experience
