As a Senior Analyst in Brokerage Risk Governance, you will be instrumental in advancing the firm’s risk management framework. Your responsibilities will include performing in-depth risk assessments, designing and automating robust controls, and working closely with business teams to address control gaps and enhance operational efficiency.

What you’ll do
Risk Assessment:
- Conduct detailed risk assessments with a focus on technology and operational risks, identifying potential vulnerabilities and recommending mitigation strategies.
Control Evaluation and Automation:
- Design, test, and evaluate key controls across operational and technology domains.
- Develop and implement automated control mechanisms to reduce human error and detect anomalies.
- Leverage data analytics to advise decision making and build automation tools to streamline control processes.
Issue Management:
- Partner with business and technology teams to identify solutions for addressing control gaps.
- Proactively drive issue resolution by developing actionable plans that enhance operational excellence.
- Advocate for the use of automation and sophisticated analytics to improve efficiency and strengthen control environment.
Data-Driven Insights:
- Create dashboards and reporting frameworks to monitor risks, track issue resolution progress, and provide actionable insights.
Collaboration & Engagement:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and compliance, to align risk management efforts with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
What you bring
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in data analytics, SQL, Python, or similar tools to analyze risk data and design automated controls. Experience in building ETL pipelines is a plus.
- Broker-Dealer Expertise: Familiarity with broker-dealer operations, products, and general regulatory requirements.
- Critical Thinking: A problem-solver who thrives on challenges, approaches tasks with a learning attitude, and applies strong critical thinking skills to complex situations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Data Visualization Skills: Proficiency in creating dashboards using tools like Looker or Tableau, with the ability to turn complex data sets into actionable insights.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant technical experience
