Summary

As a Business Analyst focused on Finance, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between the accounting, tax, treasury and regulatory reporting specialist and our technical teams. Your primary responsibility will be to transform business needs into technical requirements, ensuring the timely and successful implementation in our financial reporting systems and processes. This role is vital for our strategy and the further expansion of Bitcoin Suisse.  

You will have the following responsibilities

1. Collaborate with accounting, tax and treasury departments to understand their needs and translate them into clear technical requirements. 
2. Represent the finance department with regards to technical requirements in various project streams. 
3. Work closely with IT teams to design, implement and maintain systems that support accounting and regulatory reporting, tax reporting, and treasury requirements. 
4. Analysing the IT technical needs of the Finance department for new strategies or products. 
5. Evaluate external IT systems used in the Finance department and propose options for technical solutions including writing of the specifications.
6. Being familiar with the regulatory requirements and accounting standards and ensure that such requirements can be supported by our systems. 
7. Conduct thorough analysis of existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation. 
8. Act as a liaison between finance teams and technical developers or product owners to ensure successful project delivery. 
9. Develop and maintain documentation for all financial systems and processes. Provide ongoing support and training to finance teams on new systems and processes.

3. A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Information Technology, Computer Science, or another subject that is related to the nature of this role.  
4. 4 – 6 years of experience.
5. Strong analytical thinking and ability to dive into various finance topics. 
6. Experience in the Swiss financial services industry and certifications in the areas of business analysis, banking, regulatory reporting and/or engineering is a big plus.
7. Profound stakeholder and project management skills with a proven ability to partner effectively with others in challenging circumstances.  
8. Excellent languages skills in English (German is a plus).
