Summary
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our Institutional Sales team in Nigeria. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our foreign exchange services. This role requires a deep understanding of the FX market, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
What you'll be doing:
1. Business Growth:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the foreign exchange market.
Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain high-value clients.
Meet and exceed revenue and sales targets.
2. Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate and individual clients.
Understand clients’ currency exchange needs and recommend tailored solutions.
Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries and account management.
3. Market Research and Analysis:
Monitor trends and developments in the global and Nigerian FX markets.
Provide insights and updates on market movements to clients.
Identify opportunities to improve the company’s services and offerings.
4. Sales and Marketing:
Promote the company’s foreign exchange products and services through presentations, pitches, and networking events.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and materials to attract potential clients.
Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions to build brand awareness.
5. Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all client transactions adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies.
Work closely with the compliance team to minimize risk and ensure transparency.
Job requirements
What You Need to Have
A Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related role (preferably in the financial or FX sector).
Strong understanding of the Nigerian foreign exchange market and financial regulations.
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze market trends and data to identify business opportunities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
