Job Description

Summary

You will work across the business ensuring that the company’s most important operational initiatives are decided on, then completed. You thrive in ambiguous situations and flexing into a broad range of responsibilities. You’re able to make decisions when needed, but also don’t mind working with a committee to get things done.

What You’ll Do:

Sample projects may include:

  1. Work with legal, ops, and communications to revise our conflict of interest policy. Then ensure each mate (team member) has come to a training on the new policy.
  2. Work with Finance and Legal to ensure that stock grants have been correctly tracked ahead of our quarterly board meeting, and then entered correctly into carta after the board meeting.
  3. Work with the GC and People Ops to expand our US employee handbook for worldwide use.
  4. Work with product, finance, and data to do a 1 day spreadsheet modeling exercise to estimate the potential market size for a new product line.
  5. Project manage things like partner security review requests.
  6. Manage ad hoc contract negotiation and required signatures.
  7. Produce an investor pitch deck for an upcoming fundraise, incorporating important narratives, products, financials, and marketing messaging from across the company.
  8. Work with People Ops to negotiate vendor contracts and or manage third party vendor renewals.
  9. Work with Finance and People Ops to manage tax filings for new-state employees.
  10. Collaborate with GC on board meeting agendas, ensuring that corporate governance records are accurate and assist in presenting updates on compliance, business and legal matters.
  11. Project manage our grants program.
  12. None of these are explicit, but they’re all samples of the potential type of work that might come up.

Who You Are:

  1. Extremely high attention to detail and follow through. You should be the one that your coworkers all know as the person that creates the checklist, and then ensures it’s completed.
  2. Effective prioritization. You should know when something is urgent and important, or just urgent, or just important, and prioritize effectively.
  3. Excellent communicator. You’ll need to be able to navigate communications all around the organization, from leadership to individuals.
  4. T-Shaped skills
