Summary

The Console team, part of the OCTO Developer Experience org, operates an internal-facing single pane of glass developer portal that streamlines all development and operational tasks, providing a seamless and efficient workflow for building developer tools. Console is used today by thousands of Block engineers daily in business critical settings: easy deployment, service provisioning, secret management, database monitoring, user administration and so on. We utilize the latest and greatest technology stack: React.js, TypeScript, Webpack, Jest and Node.js. You will help us expand support to all business units and developers across Block.

You Will

1. Develop, and deploy incremental improvements to our front-end platform
2. Write reusable components and libraries
3. Write and review engineering design documents and drive product design
4. Work closely with many teams at Block
5. Write clean, concise and well-tested code
6. Work autonomously with no micromanagement or oversight

You Have

1. Extensive knowledge and understanding of the front-end development process (JavaScript, DOM, CSS).
2. Strong troubleshooting skills through the entire stack, front-end to back-end.
3. Experience with React.js stack.
4. Good eye for UI and UX.

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
