Summary

As a Corporate Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of FalconX through leading inorganic growth. You will identify emerging industry trends, build and manage relationships with key external partners, and lead the process of sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and integrating strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead end-to-end M&A and strategic investments including: sourcing, performing financial analysis and valuation, negotiation, deal structuring, coordinating and overseeing due diligence, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders
  2. Partner closely across product, markets, revenue, and the executive team to identify strategic growth areas and develop M&A priorities for the company
  3. Build and maintain deal pipeline by developing deep relationships with bankers, investors, industry players, founders and strategic partners
  4. Scan the market continuously for inorganic or strategic opportunities that may be a fit for FalconX
  5. Work cross-functionally to ensure successful integration and monetization of acquisitions
  6. Provide strategic oversight, guidance, and support for successful integration of acquisitions or strategic partnerships
  7. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure tight alignment between the corporate development strategy and the integration process

Requirements:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, or private equity, preferably at a top-tier company
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative/analytical field
  3. Proficient in financial modeling, including various valuation methodologies
  4. Extensive direct transaction experience, from research and target identification to closing and integration
  5. Mastery of written and verbal communication with an ability to articulate viewpoints clearly and concisely to internal and external executive leaders
  6. Ability to work on ambiguous problems in a fast paced environment
  7. Experienced negotiator with the ability to draw on a wealth of creative capital solutions and partnership structures
  8. Experience with unique debt and equity capital solutions is a bonus
  9. The role is based at our San Mateo office and requires on-site work

Preferences:

  1. Experience in digital assets or fintech space
  2. MBA is preferred

Compensation

Base pay for this role is expected to be between $146,500 - $220,500 USD. This expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role will also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance linked bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for a successful candidate will be determined based on a number of factors such as skillset, experience, and qualifications.
