Summary

As a Junior Network Engineer/IT Support at Ripple, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and maintaining our critical corporate infrastructure that underpins our ambitious vision of reshaping global financial transactions. You will work closely with a team of experienced engineers and support specialists to ensure our network is robust, and secure, and end users are enabled with the tools they need.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  1. Assist in the management and development of Ripple's network infrastructure, focusing on Juniper devices and Aruba products, including routers, switches, and WiFi systems.
  2. Participate in the administration and optimization of Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba ClearPass appliances.
  3. Provide front-line IT support to employees through walk-ups, tickets, and chat interactions.
  4. Manage and support audio/visual systems for meetings and events, ensuring high-quality communication and presentation capabilities.
  5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and repair IT hardware and software issues, maintaining high system availability and performance.
  6. Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to enhance scalability and efficiency within the IT infrastructure.
  7. Manage inventory of IT-owned and managed assets, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good working condition.
  8. Facilitate and support IT orientations for new hires, ensuring they are equipped and informed to succeed in their roles.
  9. Serve as a technical resource and advisor to Ripple employees, aiding in their understanding and use of IT resources.
  10. Create and maintain IT runbooks and end-user documentation to ensure consistent and efficient handling of IT tasks.
  11. Support various IT projects, ensuring dependencies are met and projects are completed on schedule.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  1. Academic studies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrated ability in network engineering, with a strong knowledge of Juniper network devices and Aruba WiFi and ClearPass appliances.
  3. Demonstrated experience managing network infrastructures, an understanding of complex networking concepts and IT Support for end users.
  4. Proactive problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ownership, and accountability.
  5. Excellent documentation skills and the ability to provide comprehensive and clear network records.
  6. Interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across various teams.
  7. Commitment to working some weekends and out-of-office hours in an in-office position.
