The selected candidate will be involved in developing The Glass Élite, a cutting-edge project by Through Tech designed to revolutionize the wine industry. This B2B digital platform enables wine traders, professional investors, and collectors to interact, buy, and sell wine securely, transparently, and intelligently through blockchain technology.

In addition to advanced traceability, The Glass Élite introduces NFTs to the wine market, paving the way for a radical transformation in the industry's dynamics. Wine batches are converted into certified digital assets, identified via NFC technology, tracked on the blockchain, and made unique and transferable. This innovation contributes to creating a more efficient and sustainable economic model for the wine sector.

Role Summary: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)/Tech Lead

We are seeking a visionary and dynamic CTO/Tech Lead to spearhead the technological strategy and execution of our startup. This pivotal role involves end-to-end oversight of the product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring that our systems are scalable, reliable, and user-focused.

As the technical leader, you will be responsible for technological development and will lead the development team, fostering innovation and aligning technological efforts with our broader business objectives. Your expertise will drive the architecture, design, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions, enabling our product to stand out in a competitive market.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Define and execute the technical roadmap in alignment with business goals.
2. Lead the project development, ensuring best practices in coding, architecture, and deployment.
3. Oversee system design, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate technological capabilities with market and customer needs.
5. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to leverage them for competitive advantage.
6. Contribute strategically to the company’s growth by integrating technical insights with business strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Proven leadership in managing development teams and scaling technological solutions in dynamic environments.
2. Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of product-market fit and the ability to align technology with business goals.
3. Passion for innovation and staying ahead in the technology landscape.
4. Familiarity with emerging technologies, particularly blockchain and distributed systems, is a significant plus.
5. Proficiency in both English and Italian to ensure effective communication with international and local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement technology strategies that align with our business objectives and drive innovation in the e-commerce marketplace / NFT / DeFi.
2. Drive the product lifecycle from design to deployment, focusing on scalability, system vibrancy, and usability.
3. Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure alignment of development goals with market needs.
4. Addressing product security issues, ensuring robust protection of user resources, data integrity, and corporate assets (NFT)

Required skills:

1. 3+ years of experience in a CTO or Tech Lead role, leading technical teams and overseeing product development.
2. Strong understanding of NFTs, DeFi, and their application in blockchain ecosystems.
3. Expertise in platform stack technologies, including REACT on NextJs, PHP on Symfony 6, Java Spring Boot 3, and Solidity (Polygon and EVM-compatible systems).
4. Proven experience in Solidity for smart contract development and decentralized storage solutions (e.g., IPFS or similar).
5. Hands-on experience with wallet management and integration for authentication and transactions.
6. Strong background in DevOps infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-based deployments.
7. Proven ability to lead and inspire development teams, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of efficiency and innovation.
8. Deep understanding of the scalability of consumer-facing products and the ability to manage projects in this segment.
9. Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of business strategies, market dynamics, and financial management.
10. Commitment to staying updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Proficiency with Ethers.js or Web3.js for blockchain interactions.
2. Experience with Bitcoin Notary services or similar mechanisms for blockchain verification.
3. Familiarity with Layer-2 solutions and bridging mechanisms for scalability and interoperability.
4. Proven leadership skills with a track record of guiding teams to achieve strategic and operational goals.
5. A strong passion for innovation and staying ahead in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
