Job Description
Summary
As a founding member of the Customer AE team, you will sit in our post-sales org and work closely with our Account Managers to drive upsell and expansion revenue within Ramp’s base of existing accounts. You will play a key role in helping our team build operations, process, and go-to-market efforts in addition to owning revenue targets for a territory of accounts to increase the trajectory of Ramp’s overall revenue.
What You’ll Do
- Identify expansion opportunities within a scaled portfolio of Ramp customers through examination of data and close partnership with AM’s
- Develop and execute upsell/cross-sell strategies and maintain a robust expansion pipeline
- Develop a deep understanding of Ramp customer personas and tailor pitches accordingly to highlight value customers are receiving from the Ramp product suite, and position where they could be driving additional value
- Leverage sales methodologies to uncover customer needs and pain points
- Be responsible for pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract execution for each sales opportunity
- Gather and provide customer feedback to directly inform Ramp’s product and pricing roadmap
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 2 years of customer-facing or direct sales experience, owning full cycle and closing motions
- Proven track record of achievement in a high velocity business environment
- Prior CRM experience (preferably Salesforce)
- Experience with outbound prospecting and conducting product demonstrations, with a high level of comfort with sales tools & processes
- Consultative sales approach and comfortable leveraging analytical & quantitative skills, with a deep interest in understanding business challenges
- Ability to discuss Ramp's value proposition with C-level executives, finance teams, and decision makers
- Consistent track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced and metrics-driven environment
- Dedication to tracking and improving performance and efficiency on a daily basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver compelling sales pitches and presentations
- Organizational, project management, and time management skills
- Sense of entrepreneurship: a self-starter with a high sense of urgency and ability to work within undefined processes

Compensation
- The annual salary/OTE range for the target level for this role is $178,500 - $210,000 (60/40 split) + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
