Summary

As part of our growing Analytics team at SingleStore, we're seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our "Here to Build" family. This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the strategic and tactical aspects of data operations and overall instrumentation for the business. Reporting to the VP of Instrumentation and Predictive Analytics, this is a high-impact, high-responsibility role that requires a metrics-driven analytics expert who will have a major influence on the company’s growth and success. 

This role will be an exciting opportunity to help build the foundation for the company’s metrics and analytics. You will be working with key stakeholders to provide operational efficiency in a data driven manner, ensuring we are leveraging data to make informed decisions. This role will help support the Executive Leadership Team in key strategic initiatives and process decisions.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Design, build, and maintain databases, code, dashboards, reports, and visualizations to measure Key Performance Indicators using tools like SingleStore database, Python, SQL, Notebooks, Tableau, and Excel
  2. Develop and maintain data models, ETL processes, and data pipelines to ensure high-quality data for analysis, automating workflows where possible
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish benchmarks and performance targets that drive continuous improvement, develop solutions, and present findings in a clear and concise manner
  4. Work on optimizing and refining existing Key Performance Indicators, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  5. Assist in monitoring the effectiveness of go-to-market efforts and ensure alignment with overall business objectives through analytics and performance reporting
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new tools to continuously improve analytical capabilities

Required Skills and Experience

  1. 2+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
  2. Strong understanding of data analysis principles, statistical concepts, and data visualization techniques
  3. Expertise in managing regular reporting and key metrics
  4. Proficiency in at least one programming language like Python and familiarity with data analysis libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn, etc
  5. Ability to translate data into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  6. Experience working with subscription-based business models
  7. Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and sales systems and tools (e.g., Salesforce, Excel, CaptiveIQ, Google Sheets)
  8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  9. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related field
