Summary

Somnia’s Developer Evangelist is the key to driving our technology's understanding, adoption, and integration among developers and the broader tech community.

In this role, you will focus on developing and executing go-to-market strategies and key content to attract and retain developers in the Somnia ecosystem. This will involve designing and implementing growth and retention initiatives, creating content to inspire and educate, and closely collaborating with internal teams to support product development roadmap to enhance developer experience and position Somnia as the leader in the space.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute high-level strategies to attract and onboard developers to the Somnia ecosystem, driving growth and retention.
  2. Create developer focused go-to-market strategies by identifying growth opportunities and tactics to motivate and engage developers to build on Somnia. 
  3. Motivate developers to build dApos on Somnia by raising awareness of its features that simplify and enhance the development experience.
  4. Identify and engage high-potential developer communities, refining outreach strategies and messaging to grow awareness and encourage developer participation.
  5. Design and deliver technical content (sample codes, tutorials, blogs, etc) that explain complex technical concepts to enhance the developer experience.
  6. Build and nurture ongoing relationships with key influencers, developers, and decision-makers in the developer community.
  7. Provide feedback to internal teams to influence product development and help shape the product roadmap and market strategy.
  8. Attend online and offline events to promote the platform, network with developers, and gather insights on industry trends and tech community needs.

Requirements

  1. 2+ years in developer relations and prior experience in building and maintaining a developer-focused community.
  2. In-depth understanding of web3, metaverse technologies, and how to engage with the web3 community.
  3. Strong technical expertise with the ability to break down complex concepts for a broader audience.
  4. Excellent writing skills to communicate our technology clearly and engagingly.
  5. Ability to work within cross-functional teams (sales, product, and marketing).
  6. Great networking and presentation skills, with experience in organizing and managing hackathons and meetups.

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience developing dApps on EVM-compatible networks and can showcase a portfolio of code samples or tutorials targeted at a developer audience.
  2. Strong existing developer network and/or X, Farcaster presence.
