Summary

As Director, Network Product Management, you will be working in a team responsible for managing products and vendors through the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning in support of the Datacenter and Core Network Services Team. This includes working closely with the product engineering teams, vendor contracts, vendor performance, building and presenting investment business cases (purchases/renewals), and collaborating with numerous business unit partners (procurement, finance, Risk, etc.). You will serve as a focal point for the products you help manage, leading collaboration sessions with the teams to identify opportunities, assisting with overall strategy and conveying that strategy when presenting investment opportunities to leadership, participating in the governance processes to complete those investments, and managing business / vendor relationships to ensure we are receiving full value from those investments.

1. 10+ years of technical product &/or vendor management experience
2. Related Vendor Experience:
3. IP Networks – LAN, WAN, MPLS, SDWAN
4. DDI: DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management
5. Telecom Circuits
6. Network Security – Firewalls, Segmentation, Intrusion Prevention & Detection
7. Traffic Management – Network / Application / Global Server Load Balancing
8. Network Proxy – Web, Socks, Plug, API/XML Gateways
9. Network Tools – Packet Analyzers, Packet Brokers, Monitoring & Performance Management Tools
10. Ability to translate technology terminology to business relatable terms
11. Expertise in leading vendors and contracts through the acquisition and renewal process
12. Strong interpersonal, negotiating, and influencing skills with an ability to engage senior management and across all levels of the organization
13. Data-focused approach, with the ability to interpret strategic objectives into actionable tasks
14. Ability to define product features and break them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria
15. Solid focus on execution and ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments
16. Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues
17. Continuously improve, encourage, and collaborate with team members, demonstrating servant leadership behaviors
18. Agile experience; Jira and Jira Align, preferred
19. Financial experience, a plus
