Summary

As an Engineering Director of Advertising, you will help build the ad system to power 3D immersive spaces from the ground up. This ad system will enable businesses, brands, and developers to reach their audiences in new and innovative ways. As the engineering leader of this function, you will work cross-functionally with partner teams to craft the advertising future for Roblox. Success in this role will be determined by the candidate's ability to successfully craft a strategy for Roblox's Ad strategy for partnering with 3rd party demand, verification providers, and other ad tech partners.

You will

1. Shape and grow a high-performance engineering team with some of the highest-scale production responsibilities
2. Hire, mentor, and develop senior engineers, managers, and leaders
3. Create a culture and practice of setting the standard as well as delivering world-class engineering systems and products
4. Partner closely with all functions in the company to develop innovative solution that create a cohesive and powerful marketplace
5. Be responsible for our advertising systems and platform which millions of creators and brands around the world will use daily
6. Own the integration with select partners and be accountable for driving ad demand and supply

You have

1. A proven track record of highly technical delivery in high scalability environments
2. Deep knowledge about advertising and the technology which powers it
3. 12+ years in an engineering management role
4. 6+ years in a Senior leadership role (org size 50+)
5. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

$391,590—$448,990 USD
