Summary

Join Roblox as a Manager of Application Security and lead a team dedicated to improving the security of our web applications, services, payment systems, and mobile apps. With a user base of over 50 million daily active users, you will coordinate security reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews. Additionally, you will integrate security frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to enhance the security of our implementations.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of application security engineers and work with the Senior Manager of Application Security. In this role, you will work closely with InfoSec teams and collaborate with various Roblox business units.

This role is based at our San Mateo headquarters and follows a hybrid model, requiring three days per week in the office.

You Have:

1. 6+ years of experience in the Information Security domain.
2. 4+ years of experience in people management.
3. Expertise in the Application Security domain, with additional experience in other security domains such as Network Security, Cloud Security, Microservices, and Container Security, is a plus..
4. Demonstrable experience in leading team-level objectives from inception through implementation.
5. Proficient in collaborating with teams from various functions to achieve shared goals and objectives.
6. Solid understanding of common application security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and secure coding practices.
7. Bacheler's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred or equivalent experience

You Will:

1. Manage the security review intake process and ensure adequate security reviews are conducted.
2. Support leading the vision and strategy for securing Roblox's software development life cycle.
3. Develop team growth by recruiting, retaining, and developing dedicated engineers.
4. Lead an extraordinary team of Application Security and Security Software Engineers.
5. Mentor and support team members, encouraging their professional growth and success.
6. Guide the application security team in their day-to-day operations, projects, and career development.
7. Drive cross-functional security initiatives and projects to improve security implementations across Roblox.
8. Support the adoption of the Secure Development Life Cycle within engineering teams and help in integrating and building security tooling into CI/CD pipelines.

This is a Hybrid role, and requires 3 days per week in our San Mateo HQ.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
