Summary

We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in building mission-critical distributed systems and experience managing a high-performing team. We need someone who is comfortable in a fast-moving environment with many moving pieces. You will be responsible for one of the teams that are building our Cross Chain Interoperability Protocol. Your Impact

1. Develop the engineering roadmap and strategy in alignment with the product roadmap
2. Own execution and delivery of core protocol, milestones and features
3. Efficiently manage the CCIP’s production environment with high availability, reliability, and resiliency
4. Empower, challenge, and coach a team of engineers to grow their impact as individual technical leaders by providing them context and continuous feedback
5. Take ownership of the engineering hiring pipeline, and grow the team by hiring exceptional engineers
6. Work with leaders across the company to drive the best-in-class engineering practices that enable developers to contribute effectively

Requirements

1. Strong passion for blockchain, DeFi, and the overall future of Web3.
2. Minimum of 6 years experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
3. Excellent communication and ability to collaborate closely with internal and external partners on a broad range of business topics and drive engineering initiatives.
4. Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
5. Deep knowledge in Distributed Systems, Performance, Scalability, and Observability.
6. Drive roadmap creation and execution. Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals.
7. Ability to work on a globally distributed team with a high degree of ownership cross-functionally.

Preferred Requirements

1. Software engineering degree /comp science background
