Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to our Data and Software Engineering teams. This role is crucial in delivering real-time blockchain insights that empower our users and partners alike. Our data team plays a critical role in harnessing complex data sources and transforming them into user-friendly displays for our cutting-edge frontends. This leader will oversee the development and scaling of data pipelines and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of data into our products.

We are headquartered in SoHo, New York City, and this role can be partially or fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and Manage: Supervise, mentor, and grow a team of data and software engineers, promoting an inclusive and high-performance culture.
  2. Technical Guidance: Provide strategic and technical direction to build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and ETL processes.
  3. Blockchain Data Integration: Oversee the extraction and transformation of blockchain and other data sources, ensuring quality and accuracy.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, trading, and product teams to ensure efficient data flow and integration.
  5. Project Management: Plan, prioritize, and manage projects, ensuring timely and quality delivery of key features.
  6. Innovation and Scalability: Drive initiatives to optimize data retrieval and processing, enhancing the performance of our systems as data volumes grow.
  7. Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related challenges in a timely manner.

Requirements

  1. Experience: 5+ years in software/data engineering roles, with at least 2 years of engineering management experience.
  2. Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL, data processing frameworks, serving frameworks). Familiarity with blockchain data structures and APIs is a plus.
  3. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams.
  4. Communication: Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Project Management: Experience managing agile workflows and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  6. Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience working in a crypto-focused company or startup environment.
  2. Familiarity with blockchain protocols and decentralized technologies.
  3. Proficiency with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, GCP).
  4. Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.

Minimum full-time salary of $240,000- $275,000. Disclosure in accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law. Full Time employees at Uniswap Labs are also eligible for other compensation elements, including equity, tokens, and benefits, dependent on the position type.
