Summary

BitGo is looking for an Engineering Manager with a strong background in React Native to lead our Mobile team and help us build cross-platform mobile applications that enhance the BitGo experience for our customers. 

This role is onsite in our Palo Alto, CA office.

Responsibilities:

1. Build, lead, and develop a team of talented and high-impact engineers, providing cultural, technical, and hands-on leadership
2. Grow the team and actively help shape the culture of open communication, craftsmanship, and ownership
3. Take direct responsibility for quality and delivery of the team’s work
4. Oversee the design and execution of advanced applications for the iOS and Android platforms using React Native.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
6. Act as a strong, positive bridge between engineering teams and product operations, support, compliance, and business stakeholders
7. Own, drive, and be accountable to KPIs pertaining to efficiency of internal operations, aspects of client experience, and service uptime
8. Facilitate thorough documentation and knowledge sharing
9. Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives
10. Align the team to broader company objectives and client expectations

Required

1. At least 6 years of proven experience in mobile application development using React Native
2. 8+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, 2+ years in a managerial role leading engineers
3. Strong debugging skills and ability to grasp the interconnected nature of complex systems
4. Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
5. Knowledge of UI/UX standards and mobile design principles
6. Proven experience sourcing and hiring top engineering talent
7. Experience working in a cross-team environment, collaborating with and enabling other functions to drive broader departmental goals
8. A self-starter capable of adapting quickly and being decisive
9. Effective written and verbal communication skills
10. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics, or another technical discipline from a top university
11. Great at algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
12. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

1. Experience with native mobile development (iOS/Android) is a plus
2. Understanding of and strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain
3. Understanding of and experience working in the financial industry

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $180,000 - $240,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined below are also a part of this role's package.
