Finance Director:
Fully Remote
Full time/Contract Position
Salary Range: $120,000 -$150,000 per year (DOE)
The Finance Director manages cash flow, oversees treasury functions (including crypto wallets), and ensures the smooth execution of financial operations across the organization. This role involves creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting strategic financial initiatives alongside senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or digital asset management is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CTP, CPA) preferred.
- Proven experience in treasury, cash management, or financial operations roles.
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
- Knowledge of designing SOPs
Key Responsibilities
Treasury and Cash Management
- Design, implement, and manage cash flow forecasting systems for accurate short- and long-term liquidity planning.
- Oversee daily treasury operations, including cash management, banking relationships, and crypto wallets.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Task Delegation
- Create, document, and maintain SOPs for treasury and finance-related activities.
- Define transparent workflows and delegate tasks to team members, ensuring accountability and deadline adherence.
- Review and update SOPs regularly to align with organizational growth and best practices.
Finance and Operations Coordination
- Serve as a liaison between finance and operational teams to streamline processes and resolve cross-functional issues.
- Ensure financial operations are aligned with organizational goals and strategies.
Reporting and Communication
- Provide regular updates on cash flow, treasury performance, and operational metrics to the executive team.
- Prepare and present financial analysis and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Risk Management and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, banking regulations, and internal controls.
- Manage and oversee the implementation of fraud prevention measures within financial operations.
Systems and Process Improvement
- Evaluate and enhance financial systems to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy in treasury and operational workflows.
- Implement and oversee tools for cash flow modeling, financial reporting, and treasury management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization across finance and treasury functions.
Strategic Financial Initiatives
- Support the CFO in executing strategic initiatives.
- Assist in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budget preparation and variance analysis.
Cross-Functional Financial Initiatives
- Collaborate with departments such as Sales, Supply Chain, and IT to integrate financial insights into broader organizational initiatives.
- Participate in cross-departmental projects to ensure finance-related goals and milestones are met on schedule.
Regulatory and Audit Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal or external auditors specific to treasury and financial operations.
- Coordinate with legal and compliance teams on regulatory changes and reporting requirements.
Performance Metrics and KPI Management
- Establish and monitor treasury-related KPIs (e.g., days sales outstanding, cash conversion cycle) to track and improve performance.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations based on KPI trends to the executive leadership.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay updated on emerging financial technologies, market trends, and best practices in treasury and operations.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance team members, fostering professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and banking partners as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and cross-departmental initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness.
