Summary

Bitpanda Custody is a platform for safeguarding crypto assets and a window to the world of Defi. It is the chosen asset custodian for crypto institutions, with increasing interest from banks as customers demand more asset diversification into Crypto. Via the TrustVault Metamask extension, customers can connect their funds to DeFi apps and exchanges.

At Custody you’ll have direct exposure to the systems that create, manage, authorise, sign and publish transactions. We build wallets for Bitcoin, Ethereum + EVM based chains, Cardano, Ripple, Solana, with more in the works. Meaning we get right down to the low level aspects of constructing and sending blockchain transactions and build the infrastructure to do so.

You’ll be working on chain support, interaction with blockchain systems, design & implementation of an event-driven and distributed environment in AWS, and delivery of the roadmap of features for both internal consumers of the platform and external customers. You’ll see all parts of the SDLC, from design to prototyping to implementation to testing to release.

What you’ll do 

1. Work directly on building new features and services related to Bitpanda’s Custody product offering.
2. Develop clean, scalable and maintainable solutions, using reactive patterns.
3. Work on securely managing crypto-funds from various frontends (web / iOS app / extension built on MetaMask).
4. Crafting a secure and enterprise-ready, easy-to-use experience and interface together with designers and the product manager.
5. Join a motivated team of highly skilled, experienced developers that can support and mentor you on your learning journey. 

Who you are

1. 3+ years of experience in web development (HTML, CSS).
2. Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js and at least 1 popular framework (e.g. vue.js / react / angular).
3. Good understanding of blockchain technology basics.
4. Strong problem-solving skills, communication and teamwork abilities.
5. Familiarity with any of the following are a bonus: vue.js, AWS Services, AWS Lambda, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. CDK / Terraform), smart contracts, hosting Cryptonodes / endpoint providers / RPCs, Web3, GraphQL.
