The team
The Kraken Pro Product Marketing team at Kraken drives the success of our flagship advanced trading platform by crafting strategies that resonate with professional traders. Focusing on all advanced trading including spot, margin trading, derivatives and equities, they collaborate with product leaders and analysts to drive the global growth of Kraken Pro
The opportunity
- Develop the Kraken Pro product vision and roadmap: with input from teams across the organization, define our product vision and roadmap to help focus the organization on what will deliver the most value to our customers.
- Execute new product launches: define product-market fit, positioning, pricing, etc. for new products and services collaborating with internal teams to ensure readiness and exceed launch KPIs.
- Improve our existing portfolio within Kraken Pro: Evaluate our market fit and positioning for our existing products to find opportunities for improvement. Regularly monitor key product KPIs and execute merchandising or feature changes to continually improve our portfolio.
- Articulate product value: Create go-to-market plans with compelling product and complementary product packaging narrative and value proposition designed to maximize awareness and increase product adoption, that will be communicated into target markets, and industry stakeholders.
- Deliver sales enablement: collaborate with Sales, Marketing and the Client Solutions teams to define a sales enablement plan that ensures sales readiness for launch; lead key messaging and deliver solution marketing (e.g. sales process mapping, emails, decks, collateral, playbooks, social selling tools, other tools as needed).
- Ecosystem: grow Kraken’s global ecosystem to drive adoption and scale customer acquisition, expansion, and success.
- Be an expert on customers, products and markets: stay in front of market trends and competitive positioning; incorporate relevant data to drive ongoing analysis of the market, customers and products.
- Be customer-obsessed: lead and prioritize discovering the needs of our customers through focus groups and customer panels and leverage that research to refine, iterate and innovate on our product merchandising.
- Be an inspirational and energizing leader to a dedicated and committed team of Product Marketers that want to drive innovation and engagement, as well as their own career development.
Skills you should HODL
- The equivalent of 10+ years of product marketing experience in a high growth, dynamic and innovative business preferably in the Crypto or fintech sector.
- An advocate for putting the customer first and developing a customer-centric attitude across all lines of business.
- Has been integral in new product and/or features development using customer and data insights.
- Deep experience with advanced trading products including margin, derivatives and equities
- You have proven project management skills, are a strategic thinker and a data-driven decision-maker; at the same time you are hands-on and love to be in the trenches with your team.
- Demonstrable experience in creating and implementing appropriate product vision and messaging in response to detailed market and product analysis.
- Proven experience launching new products and nurturing continued growth whilst being sympathetic to the priorities and challenges of other departments and their strategies.
- Strong tolerance for ambiguity; ability to focus and execute in a changing environment; ability to make things happen.
- Strong ability to influence and work cross-functionally and lead across functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in multiple channels: Slack, email, 1:1, large group settings, and others.
- Crypto-native - you are passionate and deep in to the world of Crypto
