Summary

As an HR Business Partner at Block, you are joining a team of change agents responsible for scaling and improving our people programs and initiatives across the company. Our Business Partners are empathetic, strategic thinkers who excel in a high engagement environment and have an extraordinary desire to innovate. In this role, you will work closely with the Compliance leaders to provide hands-on strategic input and advice around employee relations, performance management, coaching and development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training and more.  

You Will

  1. Partner with senior leaders and mid-level managers to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business.
  2. Provide strategic HR expertise in the areas of compensation, feedback, performance management, employee relations, development and coaching, and organizational design and development.
  3. Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  4. Lead core HR processes, such as performance calibrations, compensation cycles and promotions.
  5. Analyze and interpret various types of employee reports to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to client groups.
  6. Partner with cross functional partners to execute on programs in areas of performance management, promotions, career development, mobility, training and more.

You Have

  1. A minimum of 4+ years experience in an HR Business Partner role and a minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience.
  2. Relevant experience building and improving company culture and increasing employee engagement.
  3. Superb communication skills, including effective facilitation, listening and writing capabilities. 
  4. Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills.
  5. Coaching and facilitation expertise and the ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  6. Knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations
  7. Experience supporting business leaders on multi-year company or org-wide people initiatives or projects.

 

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

$111,700—$167,500 USD

Zone B:

$103,800—$155,800 USD

Zone C:

$98,200—$147,400 USD

Zone D:

$89,400—$134,000 USD
