Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Generalist to join our Talent team, focusing on HR operations across the EMEA and Americas region. This role is instrumental in driving smooth and efficient HR processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering exceptional service to employees. Key responsibilities include managing onboarding and offboarding, contractor processes, employment verification, first-line employee support, leading and contributing to policy reviews to align with regional standards, whilst also building out new policies, procedures and reporting for the EMEA region.

The HR Generalist plays a vital role in facilitating seamless HR operations by coordinating employee and contractor life cycles, supporting compliance initiatives, and collaborating across teams to enhance the employee experience and operational efficiency.

What you will work on:

  1. Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, processes, and systems, escalating issues when necessary.
  2. Provide guidance to employees on routine HR matters, including time-off policies, benefits navigation, and workplace questions.
  3. Partner with HR Business Partners and other stakeholders to continuously improve the employee experience.
  4. Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, document verification, and system access setup.
  5. Assist with hire orientations, ensuring a positive introduction to company culture, policies, and processes.
  6. Coordinate with Talent Acquisition, IT, Talent Systems, Payroll, and other departments to ensure seamless onboarding and offboarding transitions.
  7. Administer and process employment verification requests, including background checks and references, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company and legal requirements.
  9. Stay informed on labor laws and regulations to ensure regional practices remain compliant.
  10. Maintain and update employee handbooks and procedural documents for the Americas region.
  11. Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, and other teams to address employee and contractor record needs.
  12. Work across the Talent team to address business needs and resolve employee issues efficiently.
  13. Partner with cross-functional teams such as Legal and Finance to streamline and optimize HR processes.
  14. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices in HR operations.

What you’ll bring to Circle: 

  1. 2+ years of experience in HR operations, HR coordination,HR Advisor or similar roles.
  2. Strong understanding of HR compliance, labor laws, and regional regulations for EMEA (Ireland, UK, France,Spain and Germany is preferred)
  3. Proficiency with HRIS systems and Google Suite. Must be able to support reporting, and ability to showcase data 
  4. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.
  6. Proficiency in English with preference of a working understanding of French
  7. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
