Summary

As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering core services and APIs that function as the backbone of our enterprise data infrastructure. Your role involves working with various platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, and data formats to ensure optimal efficiency and high fidelity of data and business processes within our Enterprise Applications Ecosystem. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining crucial integrations that connect and support the Block Enterprise Application Ecosystem.

You Will:

  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of integration strategies, platform standards, and best practices. 
  2. Assist in evaluating and implementing technology solutions within the integration domain. Follow and apply established standards and guidelines for API development. 
  3. Support the integration team in delivering complex projects by providing hands-on technical guidance. 
  4. Collaborate with the team to address business challenges through effective integration solutions. 
  5. Translate business requirements into practical and scalable integration designs. 
  6. Work closely with IT and business functions to ensure consistency and quality in integration solutions. 
  7. Develop reusable assets, components, and frameworks to support API and integration projects. 
  8. Adhere to established design and development patterns, ensuring high standards in all work. 
  9. Assist in mentoring team members on development concepts and technical skills. 
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements to contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

You Have:

  1. 5+ years Integration experience in transforming complex strategic business requirements into workable technology solutions
  2. Experience with enterprise integration patterns is a plus
  3. Experience with data modeling is a plus
  4. Experience with AWS and Mulesoft is a nice to have
  5. Deep knowledge of microservices architecture and API strategy development
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Experience with the entire API development lifecycle from design & build to governance & management
  8. Must have experience with common relational database technologies such as Oracle and MySQL
  9. Must have experience integrating with SaaS solutions like Salesforce.com, Oracle Cloud ERP and Workday.
  10. Experience with common web connectivity and integration standards/protocols such as XML, SOAP, REST, JSON and JDBC.
  11. Experience with DevOps and CI/CD concepts, and build pipelines using BuildKite and Maven.

  1. Mulesoft, Workato, and other integration technologies
  2. Ruby, JavaScript, and Java
  3. Observability and monitoring tools (e.g. datadog, sentry)
  4. AWS, MySQL, Oracle, Buildkite and Maven

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $135,200 - USD $202,800

Zone B: USD $128,500 - USD $192,700

Zone C: USD $121,700 - USD $182,500

Zone D: USD $115,000 - USD $172,400
