Summary

BitGo is looking for an IT Specialist to maintain, upgrade and manage our software, hardware and networks while providing support for a global staff of employees and contractors. Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our staff's IT experience runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install and configure software and hardware.
  2. Manage IT help desk and technology tools.
  3. Provision accounts and configure & deploy workstations.
  4. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements.
  5. Troubleshoot issues and outages.
  6. Ensure security policies are followed.
  7. Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
  8. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.
  9. Maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
  10. Follow our change management process.
  11. Maintaining accurate asset inventory.
  12. Other IT related responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as an IT Specialist, IS Technician or similar role.
  2. Experience with endpoint deployment, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  3. Knowledge of system security.
  4. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms, specifically Google Workspace, Slack, JAMF, MacOS, and Ubuntu.
  5. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  6. Excellent communication skills.
  7. Able to analyze and prioritize incoming requests and alerts.
  8. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  9. Self-motivated and research-driven.
  10. Available off hours for urgent requests and weekly IT meetings.

Preferred Background:

  1. BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline is a plus.
  2. Professional experience (Jamf, Atlassian, Slack, Google Workspace, MacOS, Linux).
  3. Certification in the technologies mentioned above is a plus.

Pay Transparency Notice:

 Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $90,000 - $110,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined below are also a part of this role's package.
