Summary

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage personal workload and ensure timely escalation of key risks/issues to management
  2. Handle, review and verify all applications for client on-boarding within available SLAs
  3. To maintain a good relationship and work closely with Relationship Partner Teams and direct with clients as required, to obtain all necessary supporting evidence to fulfil your KYC due diligence
  4. Proficiency in compliance applications and programmes such as Refinitiv World-Check & Jumio.
  5. Act as a checker to ensure effective 2-eyed and 4-eyed customer due diligence process
  6. Good proficiency in conducting risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews and enhanced due diligence
  7. Monitoring and documentation of unusual activity or AML flags
  8. Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT, and other subjects that may form part of the day to day work requirements
  9. Handling any general administration and ancillary activities related to the above functions in accordance with the business requirements of the company
  10. Reviewing constitutional documents of corporate clients and their related parties
  11. Conducting open-source searches on regulation, public listing and licensing status
  12. Performing WorldCheck screening against PEP, TF, Adverse Media and ML riskPerforming translations of corporate documents to English
  13. Preparing senior management and MLRO escalation forms with detailed description of risk posed by the client as well as red flags and mitigating factorsProviding feedback on system malfunctions, gaps and necessary upgrades
  14. Implementing procedures in onboarding environment, pointing out procedural gaps
  15. Detecting suspicious and falsified documentation
  16. Ensuring accurate manual data entry

Requirements:

  1. At least 2 years experience in a corporate onboarding role with substantial knowledge of relevant rules and regulations and the day-to-day compliance affairs
  2. Bilingual English/French is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders’
  3. Knowledge of multiple client types (E.g: Non-Operating/Asset Holding Companies, Funds, Partnerships, Segregated Portfolio Companies, Trusts); and multiple EEA jurisdictions
  4. Experience in reviewing AML Policies and Procedures and identifying control gaps;
  5. Good knowledge of Virtual Asset Service Providers business types
  6. Experience handling reviews of high risk and complex KYB cases as well as conducting reviews of Financial Institutions and Broker clients profiles. 
  7. Highly preferred for candidates to possess ACAMS/CAMS/CCAS/ICA certifications or others
  8. Possesses strong time management, organisational and relationship building skills
  9. Adaptable in an evolving and fast-moving environment
  10. Good knowledge on provisions of local laws, directives, regulations and otherwise standards applicable to subject persons
  11. Good knowledge of upcoming regulation of virtual currency policies is a strong plus
