Summary

Circle is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Lead Quality Analyst to become a vital part of our Compliance Operations Quality Control & Assurance team. In this role, you'll collaborate with a talented team of 13 Enablement professionals who are passionate about driving continual improvement and innovation in quality management.

As the Lead Quality Analyst, you will perform comprehensive quality reviews across multiple regulatory functions including KYC, Investigations, and Sanctions. You will design and implement effective and efficient methods to enhance both the quality review processes and the compliance processes you support. You will work closely with the Manager of Compliance Quality Control & Assurance to oversee the completion of quality reviews and contribute to the growth of our Compliance Quality program. You will engage with cross-functional teams to implement necessary changes to address core risks and align with evolving business needs.

What you'll work on: 

  1. Executing Quality Reviews: Take the lead in designing, executing and finalizing quality reviews to ensure compliance standards are met efficiently and effectively. Focus on optimizing review processes for maximum effectiveness while addressing any Compliance or business-wide program or process changes..
  2. Conducting Comprehensive Quality Reviews: Perform quality reviews across all AML processes, including KYC onboarding, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring alert reviews, investigations (including Suspicious Activity Reports), and sanctions alert reviews.
  3. Leveraging Subject Matter Expertise (SME): Utilize your subject matter expertise to guide the execution of quality reviews, ensuring they align with industry best practices and compliance requirements. 
  4. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Stakeholders: Partner with a diverse range of stakeholders, including Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams, to ensure the Compliance Quality program remains agile and responsive to ongoing business and compliance requirements.
  5. Supporting Accountability and Timeliness: Assist the Manager of Compliance Quality Control and Assurance in ensuring that all responsibilities are fulfilled and that quality reviews are completed within established timeframes and service level agreements (SLAs).
  6. Building Strong Partnerships: Foster effective collaborations with outsourced partners and vendors to address challenges, align processes, and drive improvements in quality performance and outcomes.
  7. Delivering Strategic Objectives: Play a key role in achieving the agreed Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for each half, ensuring the team’s contributions align with broader business goals.
  8. Enhancing Communication and Reporting: Ensure clear communication and reporting practices are in place to provide enhanced visibility across the organization regarding major initiatives and outcomes. Innovate on methods to deliver reporting more efficiently and frequently.
  9. Executing Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead and participate in special projects as required, responding to the evolving needs of the business while aligning with quality standards.

What you’ll bring to Circle: 

  1. 7+ years experience in financial crimes compliance, with a minimum of 1 year in a quality role.
  2. Strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  3. Ability to maintain a strong operational focus with the ability to manage time sensitive workflows across competing priorities.
  4. Experience analyzing large transactional data sets, proficiency in SQL preferred.
  5. CAMS, CFCS or CFE certification is a plus.
  6. Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify and address potential issues and risks.
  7. Experience and comfort working in an ever changing industry and the flexibility to quickly react to changing demands.
  8. Organized, detailed, proactive, self-motivated, collaborative, multi-tasker, and creative.
  9. Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment is extremely important.
  10. Ability to prioritize workloads and ensure tasks are completed timely.
  11. High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
  12. Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $147,500
