Summary

As a Consensys Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our network, forging partnerships, and driving revenue growth. You will be at the forefront of the web3 ecosystem, identifying opportunities for collaboration, building partnerships, and executing programs focused on the APAC region across MetaMask, Linea and other Consensys products.

Business Development:

  • Execute programs to drive the growth of our user base and revenue streams through innovative business development initiatives.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies for web3 products and services.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend monitoring to inform business development efforts.

Partnerships:

  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential partners within the web3 ecosystem, including decentralized applications (dApps), protocols, and service providers
  • Develop partnership strategies aligned with business goals, negotiating terms, and executing partnership agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate partner solutions into our platform, ensuring seamless user experiences
  • Flexibility to have meetings with partners and counterparties in a different time zones, especially for APAC based partners

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing partners, serving as the main point of contact for key partnership inquiries and initiatives.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, representing Consensys at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product management, product marketing and communications teams to create compelling messaging and materials for partnership outreach.

Programs:

  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to plan, organize, and monitor progress against program objectives and communicate progress in formal meetings and day-to-day communications
  • Develop program-related deliverables such as presentation briefs, requests for proposals, work plans, process maps, and business cases, among others.
  • Manage programs and support with identification, management, and execution of emerging priority initiatives and special projects.
  • Develop strategies for implementing project work, opportunities, and recommendations.

Thought Leadership:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends, innovations, and developments within the web3 space, serving as an internal subject matter expert and advisor.
  • Contribute insights and thought leadership pieces to industry publications, forums, and events to raise Consensys' profile within the web3 community.

Would be great if you brought this to the role

  • Minimum of 4-6 years business experience in a data-driven consulting, partnerships or commercial role
  • Proficiency in project management
  • Able to work independently and lead multiple projects simultaneously with constantly changing priorities
  • Experience interacting with management at all levels, including directors and executives 
  • Experience working in a remote first global company
  • Experience in traveling for business and representing organizations at events
  • Proficiency in business presentations development and commercial modeling (E.g., Google Sheets, Google Slides)
  • Program Management and Project Management
  • Knowledge of finance, blockchain and cryptocurrency 
  • Experience in organizing programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization
  • Experience in working with  a global team
  • Experience in implementing and managing program changes
  • Experience in developing new company programs to support the strategic direction of the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
