The Business Development team is responsible for creating and managing relationships with strategic partners that support Coinbase’s business objectives. The team focuses on leading new partnerships that drive growth for Coinbase’s products, advance Coinbase’s strategic priorities, and support the growth of the crypto/web3/onchain ecosystem around the world.
Coinbase is seeking a Business Development leader to lead our go-to-market (GTM) and strategic partnership initiatives in service of our new Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP). CDP is a suite of tools and services that make it easy for developers to build onchain applications with SDKs and APIs that power everything from wallets and payments to onramping to trading. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of building strong relationships with builders/developers, structuring and executing partnership-driven growth programs, owning and operationalizing zero-to-one GTM initiatives, and structuring partnerships with both startups and enterprises.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and implement comprehensive partnership and go-to-market (GTM) strategies for the Coinbase Developer Platform, including Build Onchain products (ex: Wallet SDK, Smart Wallets) and Platform SDK/APIs (ex: MPC Wallet, Send/Receive).
- Design, build, and execute programs that drive awareness, adoption, usage, and growth of our products and solutions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with founders, builders, developers, and entrepreneurs in the global onchain ecosystem.
- Design and operationalize strategies to build, engage, and grow developer/builder communities both online and in real life.
- Monitor market trends and analyze competitive landscapes to continuously refine GTM and partnership strategies.
- Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal) to ensure seamless communication, collaboration, and execution.
What we look for in you:
- 7+ years in business development, partnerships, GTM, and growth-focused roles at software companies, with at least 3 years in the crypto industry.
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology (ex: protocols, networks, dapps, wallets) and software development (ex: tools, platforms, SDKs/APIs).
- Passion for crypto and a commitment to driving innovation, growth, and utility.
- Resilient and adaptable to change; comfortable in fast-paced, mission-driven teams; experience building zero-to-scale products.
- Excellent communication skills; able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Effective in working with cross-functional teams (ex: Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, CX).
- Skilled in developing and executing strategic plans based on qualitative research and data-driven insights.
- Experience using community initiatives, events, and webinars to drive product awareness and adoption.
- Proven ability to identify, pursue, and deliver growth opportunities.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)).
Pay Range:
$170,850—$201,000 USD
