Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Fleet Management Team. This team is responsible for building guardrails, tooling, and guidelines to onboard new blockchain networks to our platform, leveraging the primitives provided by our Developer Platform team. The ideal candidate will have a strong platform and DevOps background, coupled with software development experience. The Engineering Manager will play a crucial role in guiding the team to ensure robust, scalable, and efficient onboarding of blockchain networks.

In this role, you’ll:

  1. Lead and empower your team of engineers who are effective and love what they do. 
  2. Hire exceptional people to grow your team(s) with a focus on diversity, scalability, and always raising the bar.
  3. Be a hands-on technical expert, able to coach and mentor team members in best practices and demonstrate what good looks like. 
  4. Build relationships with the Product Management team based on credibility and candor that result in lofty goals, clear objectives, and confidence that you’ll meet them. Work with PMs and your team to set clear objectives and deliver on them.
  5. Help the entire engineering team get better at what we do through building smarter ways of working.

We’re looking for candidates who have: 

  1. Managed and led a diverse team of impactful engineers, ideally in a fast-growing startup.
  2. Experience hiring engineers and working closely with Recruiters as a team.
  3. Aren’t afraid to jump into a problem and get it sorted, even if it’s outside of your day-to-day role.
  4. Built and managed successful platforms that remove friction from development flows and reduce manual overhead. Strong background in platform engineering and DevOps.
  5. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS EC2, RDS, Aurora, S3, and Kafka.
  6. Proficiency in software development, with experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or similar.
  7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub CI/CD).
  8. Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  9. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (We use Datadog, Cloudwatch and Humio).
  10. Have an interest in cryptocurrencies or a desire to learn - we can help!

Nice to have experience:

  1. Knowledge of security best practices in a cloud environment.
  2. Familiarity with data engineering and stream processing frameworks.
