Summary

The Manager, General Investment Operations will work closely with the QRI Investment Services team to support establish, implement, and manage an operating model to support the Quantitative Research & Investments team. The individual must:

  1. Be comfortable working with investors and have an interest in understanding the investment process
  2. Be creative and resourceful in responding to time-sensitive ad hoc requests
  3. Have a familiarity with digital tools and data

Responsibilities

  1. Supporting aspects of QRI’s strategic initiative and business operations
  2. Assisting with the implementation of workflows to support and grow the QRI business
  3. Liaising and managing relationships with multiple internal groups who support QRI as well as external vendors on implementation activities
  4. Guide discussions and activities to ensure clear communication and collaboration among QRI business partners
  5. Coordinate and lead support for the adoption of QRI Platforms and Strategic Initiatives
  6. Creating various communications in support of QRI strategic initiatives and business operations

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  1. 1-2 years work experience in or working with investment operations in financial services industry
  2. Bachelor’s Degree
  3. Strong communication and analytical skills
  4. Must be highly organized, meticulous, detail oriented and have the ability to work independently
  5. Effective relationship management skills across numerous strategic business partners
  6. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and comfortable in an environment of shifting priorities
  7. Excellent judgment, issue management, and problem-solving skills
  8. Self-motivated, comfortable taking the initiative, and meet deadlines independently
  9. Positive attitude and “can do” work ethic

The role is part of the Asset Management Compliance, Risk and Business Operations (CRBO) team, which is comprised of: AM Compliance, AM Risk, Business Operations and Strategy, Counterparty Research & Analytics, Investment Services and Investment Risk Management. The teams work together to support AM’s strategic goals while being the best partner to the business to protect our clients via proactive compliance monitoring, risk oversight and strategic business planning. While part of CRBO, the role is aligned with the priorities of the Quantitative Research and Investments (QRI) organization.
