The Crypto Accounting team’s mission is to support our growing crypto operations by ensuring accurate and efficient accounting processes while meeting the demands of a dynamic and innovative industry. Our focus is on operational excellence, compliance, and collaboration across teams to support the organization’s strategic goals.

As Crypto Accounting Manager, you will lead the crypto accounting team, taking ownership of all crypto-related accounting matters. You’ll play a critical role in building out new processes, improving existing workflows, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in this rapidly evolving space.

It is preferred that this role is located in one of the office locations listed on this job description which will align with our in-office working environment. This position is only eligible for remote work in limited geographies within the US where we do not have physical office locations. What you’ll do

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for all crypto-related accounting matters, collaborating with stakeholders to design and implement scalable processes that ensure proper accounting treatment in compliance with US GAAP and international standards.
  2. Demonstrate strong leadership by managing key crypto accounting initiatives and mentoring team members to enhance their expertise in this evolving area.
  3. Lead crypto-specific projects independently, including those involving new product launches, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies, ensuring accurate and compliant reporting.
  4. Prepare and review detailed workpapers for crypto-related month-end close activities, providing constructive feedback to improve documentation quality and analysis.
  5. Play a key role in SOX initiatives for crypto, including documenting internal controls, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing process improvements.

 

What you bring

  1. 5–7 years of relevant crypto experience with progressively increased responsibility, particularly in accounting and financial operations.
  2. Understanding of GAAP standards and the ability to apply them effectively in complex scenarios, including crypto-related accounting treatments.
  3. Proven ability to design and implement accounting workflows and processes from scratch to support scalability and compliance.
  4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Experience with system implementations and process improvement, leveraging tools to optimize operational efficiency.
  6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.

$119,000—$140,000 USD

Zone 2 (Denver, CO; Westlake, TX; Chicago, IL)

$105,000—$123,000 USD

Zone 3 (Lake Mary, FL)

$93,000—$109,000 USD
