Summary

As Robinhood Crypto continues to grow, the Crypto Operations team is seeking a skilled Risk Manager to build and improve the risk management program!

In this role, you will be responsible for and refine Robinhood Crypto’s existing risk management programs, including Business Continuity Planning, Process Risk & Control Management, Issue Management, and Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs). You will also lead the development and implementation of new risk initiatives, such as Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), Enterprise Risk Assessments, Product Risk Assessments, and Disaster Recovery Planning. This role will coordinate risk activities across the U.S. and EU, ensuring consistent reporting and alignment with global enterprise standards.

What You’ll Do Day-to-day:

  1. Implement and manage the risk management processes for Robinhood Crypto, ensuring readiness to scale for growth while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Create and oversee Risk Appetite Statements and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), defining thresholds and establishing clear reporting mechanisms for key risks.
  3. Coordinate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), Product Risk Assessments, and Enterprise Risk Assessments to identify and address key risk areas.
  4. Coordinate Risk & Operating Committee agendas, driving discussions on critical topics and focus areas across risk types.
  5. Work closely with Robinhood’s broader risk teams to develop, implement, and enhance risk management standards and methodologies, including Enterprise Risk Management and Security practices.
  6. Own, execute, and scale the Enterprise Resilience program for Robinhood Crypto, including annual Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP).

About You

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  2. 5+ years in risk management, internal audit, or risk and controls, ideally within the cryptocurrency or fintech industry.
  3. Hands-on experience with programs such as Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk assessments, control testing, and business continuity planning.
  4. Experience working with cryptocurrency products and blockchain technology, with a strong understanding of associated risks and infrastructure.
  5. Ability to manage people and collaborate with diverse, cross-functional team members.
  6. Strong detail orientation combined with a long-term, proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
  7. In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to risk management in the cryptocurrency industry.
  8. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across functional groups and time zones.

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan.
