Summary

Chiliz is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager with proven expertise in crypto and Web3 marketing to lead and oversee our paid media efforts across multiple business units. This role requires a strategic leader with deep knowledge of performance marketing, paid social, media buying, and analytics—particularly within crypto trading and Web3-native communities.

You will be responsible for managing and optimizing the relationship with an external agency, ensuring that all paid media initiatives align with business objectives and deliver measurable impact. While execution is agency-led, this role will require strong analytical oversight, strategic input, and leadership to optimize performance marketing strategies and ensure effective audience targeting across key Web3 platforms.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the relationship with our external performance marketing agency, ensuring alignment with Chiliz’s business objectives across multiple business units.

  1. Own and manage performance marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation, cost control, and maximum return on investment.
  2. Guide and direct the agency’s execution of performance marketing campaigns tailored to Web3/crypto audiences, leveraging platforms such as Google Ads, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), Reddit, Meta, Telegram, Discord, and Web3-specific ad networks.
  3. Ensure precise audience targeting strategies, making sure campaigns effectively engage crypto-native users, traders, and blockchain communities.
  4. Monitor and evaluate media buying strategies, including programmatic and direct placements, to ensure optimal reach, engagement, and efficiency within Web3 ecosystems.
  5. Track and analyze key performance metrics such as traffic, engagement, user acquisition, and LTV using Google Analytics (GA4), Looker, and other tracking tools.
  6. Collaborate with the wider marketing team to ensure paid media efforts are fully integrated with broader business and brand positioning strategies.
  7. Review and assess A/B testing initiatives on ad creatives, audience segments, and landing pages, ensuring the agency is continuously refining and improving campaign performance.
  8. Develop and deliver clear, data-driven reports and dashboards, providing key insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  9. Stay ahead of Web3 trends, crypto marketing innovations, and blockchain community behaviors, ensuring Chiliz maintains a competitive edge in the evolving digital landscape.

Requirements:

  1. Must have strong knowledge and experience in crypto/Web3 marketing, with an understanding of traders go-to sites, blockchain communities, crypto user behavior, and Web3 advertising platforms.
  2. Proven experience in performance marketing, paid social, or digital acquisition within a crypto, fintech, or high-growth tech environment.
  3. Expertise in Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, Twitter (X), Reddit Ads, Telegram, Discord, and Web3-specific advertising networks.
  4. Strong analytical mindset, with experience in tracking, measuring, and optimizing campaigns through Google Analytics (GA4), Looker, and other data platforms.
  5. Ability to develop and execute paid media strategies that align with broader business goals across multiple business units.
  6. Hands-on experience with audience segmentation, ad placements, and performance optimization for crypto/Web3 users.
  7. Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration, working closely with content, product, and data teams to refine marketing strategies.
  8. Proactive and data-driven, with a test-and-learn mindset to drive continuous optimization.

Nice to have:

  1. Experience with DeFi, NFTs, or blockchain-related advertising strategies.
  2. Familiarity with on-chain analytics and crypto-specific tracking methodologies.
