Summary

Fidelity Institutional is looking for a Principal Full Stack Engineer as a member of our team. The associate will join one of the squads under Integration Solutions product area working on one of the top initiatives for Fidelity Brokerage Technology. You will be aligned under Fidelity Clearing & Custody Solutions (FCCS) chapter driving towards greater delivery, efficiency, and quality. While working to deliver business capabilities across a globally distributed team of IT professionals, the team continually strives to advance engineering excellence, technology innovation and agile practices. Must be a self-starter, able to work well with others, and communicate software changes to business partners, system analysts, QA engineers, etc.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2. Solid foundation in Computer Science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
3. 10+ years of development experience with strong working knowledge of Java and Spring/SpringBoot, Angular TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3
4. Strong experience with web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, YAML, etc.)
5. Conversant in REST API authentication including OAuth, SAML and JWT
6. Deep understanding of API design, including versioning, isolation, micro-services, and experience in detailing APIs using an API documentation framework (Swagger)
7. Strong knowledge in application development with micro architectures.
8. Strong knowledge of API gateways such as Stratum, WSO2, and Tomcat
9. Experience with test automation and frameworks like Cucumber, Karate, Insomnia
10. Knowledge of logging and observability concepts and the usage of tools such as Datadog and Splunk
11. Proven experience in building and deploying software solutions using public cloud provider services like AWS and Azure using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Terraform, Jenkins, Udeploy
12. Exposure to domain design, micro services architecture, data aggregation, service integration
13. Ability to understand and adapt to changing business priorities and technology advancements
14. Knowledge of end-to-end DevSecOps automation with CI and CD pipelines including Unit, Component, Functional, Performance, and Security test automation
15. Certifications in, and working experience with, AWS
16. Perform troubleshooting and triaging in Assist in production and nonproduction environment

18. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
19. Ability to multi-task within various initiatives if needed
20. 2-3 years of experience in Agile development

The Purpose of Your Role

This role will focus on the design and development of Fidelity Institutional products and services platform. The candidate will work with project managers, systems analysts, offshore resources, tech leads, quality assurance, and architects to build solutions that meet critical business needs. You should possess problem solving skills and be able to translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
