Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Public Affairs Advisor with strong legal expertise and outstanding communication skills to elevate our position in the UK market. Bitpanda, as the leading European crypto platform, is at the forefront of regulatory compliance, maintaining close ties with authorities, industry associations, and legislators. You will shape and advocate for Bitpanda’s policy positions in the UK, setting the benchmark for regulatory excellence and promoting innovation in the fast paced crypto landscape.
What you’ll do
- Vigilantly track the evolving UK regulatory landscape, including FCA’s initiatives, the UK’s crypto regulatory framework, as well as broader legislative trends in collaboration with our Legal and Compliance Team.
- Analyse upcoming regulatory changes and their impact on our current business setup and operations, assess their impact, flagging potential issues and necessary adjustments.
- Craft well-informed policy positions, compose responses for public consultations, and engage with industry associations.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including the FCA, HM Treasury, and UK legislators, to represent Bitpanda’s interest and articulate our policy positions.
- Deliver informative briefings and strategic counsel to executives and senior management, with a strong emphasis on the UK regulatory environment, ensuring alignment with local compliance and business objectives.
Who you are
- You bring a robust network within the UK regulatory and political landscape, enabling effective engagement with key decision makers and stakeholders such as the FCA, HM Treasury, and UK Parliament.
- You are a skilled and experienced public speaker with outstanding English communication abilities. Your excel in simplifying intricate subjects, including regulatory and technological matters, to ensure clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You hold a degree in law, business, public policy or or similar academic qualification and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in the financial or crypto industry in a regulatory, Public Affairs, or Government Relations role.
- You are passionate about the evolving UK crypto regulatory framework and possess an innate analytical mindset to uncover regulatory implications within (financial) technology regulation.
