Position:

 Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation

Location:

 Bengaluru, India (In-Office Role)

Responsibilities:

1. Test Automation Development:
2. Design, develop, and maintain robust automated tests for web applications using Selenium WebDriver with Java.
3. Develop and maintain BDD Cucumber tests to validate business requirements and ensure smooth communication between technical and non-technical teams.
4. Write comprehensive automated tests for REST APIs using Java and REST Assured or Postman. Ensure high coverage of critical microservices and their interactions.
5. Develop automation scripts and integration tests using Playwright with JavaScript for end-to-end testing of modern web applications.
6. Test Strategy & Frameworks:
7. Develop, implement, and enhance automation frameworks for web and API testing.
8. Ensure that test automation is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline, and maintain test environments for efficient and scalable test execution.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test cases that can be automated to ensure the highest coverage and reduce manual testing efforts.
10. Collaboration & Reporting:
11. Work closely with developers to identify test scenarios and provide feedback on test results and defects.
12. Provide clear and concise documentation of test cases, scripts, results, and defects to internal stakeholders.
13. Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, and developers to ensure product quality and timely delivery.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Engineering Degree in Computer Science or related field with minimum 3 years of professional experience in software testing.
2. Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in test automation using Selenium with Java for web applications.
3. Experience with BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) using Cucumber and Gherkin syntax, and integration of Cucumber with Selenium for automated tests.
4. Strong expertise in API automation using REST Assured with Java, with hands-on experience in testing microservices architecture.
5. Familiarity with TestNG for creating test suites, managing test execution, and generating test reports. Knowledge of JUnit and Maven, databases like MongoDB, Postgresql
6. Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes, tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.) and the integration of test automation frameworks within these pipelines.
7. Hands-on experience with version control tools like Git and code management platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
8. Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or similar.
9. Experience with Test Reporting Tools (Allure, Extent Reports, etc.).
10. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
11. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
12. Attention to detail and the ability to consistently deliver high-quality work.

Nice to have:

1. Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.
2. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
3. Experience with B2B Products or startups.
