Job Description
Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you’ll serve as a skilled change agent who can automate workflows, implement new processes, and iterate on our current procedures to improve the efficiency of our teams. You will seamlessly execute month-end-close, and help create efficiencies to scale the accounting department. The ideal candidate is a sales tax expert who is familiar with payroll reconciliation and journal processing.
In this role, you will…
- Confidently drive the month-end-close process from journal entries to month-over-month flux variance analysis
- Take ownership of and improve our bank and credit card reconciliation processes
- Independently add and review amortization schedules for new prepaid additions and remove fully amortized items from the schedule
- Accurately and thoroughly review and reconcile all ledger accounts on the balance sheet
- Be on top of handling reclass requests from the team and improve the process along the way
- Work with the team on audits, compliance filings, and new system implementations.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A and Procurement to improve the monthly accrual process
- Support the Accounts Payable process and reviewing vendor bills in NetSuite
- Support the Team’s goal of reducing month-end reporting schedule
We’re looking for candidates who have…
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent work experience
- A solid understanding of US GAAP, SOX, bank reconciliations, and general ledger
- NetSuite experience and a strong command of Excel (you’re unfazed by large data sets)
- Excellent prioritization and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with senior level management
Nice to have experience:
- Experience in a SaaS environment with a Big 4 Accounting Firm and/or experience at a pre-IPO SaaS company
