Summary

Circle is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant, External and Regulatory Reporting to support the overall accounting function and help strengthen and develop the Company’s financial and regulatory reporting processes across our domestic and international entities. This position presents an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building out processes, learning and participating in a new rapidly growing business. This role includes researching regulatory reporting requirements and assisting in developing sustainable external reporting processes, standardization of policy and procedures, special projects, interaction with the broader finance and cross functional teams, external auditors and regulators and requires advanced analytical skills with a meticulous attention to details and a proven track record with accountability and demonstrated ability to deliver results.

What you'll work on:

1. Participating in and assisting in improving the Company’s various external reporting and regulatory reporting processes.
2. Performing analysis and research related to various reporting requirements and building sustainable processes to comply.
3. Drafting and maintaining external reporting and regulatory reporting policies and procedures and partnering with various stakeholders to operationalize.
4. Presenting external reporting and regulatory requirements, relevant communications, and analyses to the accounting and finance team in a clear and concise manner.
5. Implementing and educating accounting teams of necessary changes to adopt and comply with new reporting and disclosure requirements.
6. Evaluating and improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the Company’s accounting policies and processes, including ensuring compliance with US GAAP/SEC and other international accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Facilitating reporting and regulatory knowledge sharing and transfer across the organization.
8. Assisting with special projects and other ad hoc assignments.

What you’ll bring to Circle:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Certified Public Accountant.
2. 4+ years of relevant work experience, including public accounting and industry specific experience
3. Working technical knowledge of US GAAP/SEC and international accounting standards.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
6. Proven ability to work cross functionally and adapt to change are extremely important.
7. Experience with SOX 404 and internal control over financial reporting.
8. Experience with Workiva or similar reporting system.
9. Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP
10. Demonstrated professional commitment, initiative, accountability and ownership of assignments.
11. Ability to effectively facilitate and present in group meetings.
12. Experience working in regulated business, financial services or technology industries are a plus.
13. High integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
14. Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally, able to manage multiple priorities with enthusiasm. 
15. Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.

Starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to: relevant experience, skill set, qualifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that compensation ranges may differ for candidates in other locations.

Base Pay Range: $102,500 - $137,500

Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
