Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for building the ecosystem and developing strategic partnerships in Asia. You will own OKRs and be responsible for developing the partnership pipeline, qualifying partners, and closing deals with strategic and target partners.
You will be responsible for managing Circle’s top partners in the region and delivering exceptional account service. You will build a metrics-driven, high-velocity business that ensures long-term success for Circle and Circle’s partners. In doing so, you will use your expertise to ensure our partners and prospects can sustain long-term success in our ecosystem.
As a leader in the organization, you will work closely with the Circle leadership and cross-functional (XFN) teams. A key aspect of the role is working through ambiguity to give internal stakeholders the latest Web3 market developments, requirements of partners, and where/how to invest resources. As a senior leader in the organization, you will be involved in hiring, mentoring, and building a world-class business development organization.
What you'll work on:
- Be a key contributor to the business development strategy focused on transforming the way value is exchanged in the region
- Own and manage the business development cycle with APAC’s largest regional platforms
- Develop and use key metrics to forecast on a metrics-driven pipeline
- Working on key deals to ensure strategic targets are closed and key inbound business is won

What you’ll bring to Circle:
- 13+ years of experience in business development or similar function
- 7+ years of experience developing strategic partnerships in fintech, banking, payments, and/or financial services
- Professional and technical knowledge of blockchain and cryptocurrency technology
- Exceptional leadership experience, as one of the senior business development leads on the team
- Excellent pipeline management and deal forecasting abilities
- You enjoy building at the earliest stages and care deeply about contributing and improving company processes
- You enjoy moving at a fast pace, building a long-lasting foundation, and helping customers thrive
- An appetite for work travel (30-50% required depending on time of year)
- Mandarin a bonus but not essential
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite.
