About the team + role

Robinhood is looking for a Senior Manager of Content Design leading our Crypto business division. This is a key design leadership role that will help shape the company’s crypto strategy and lead the Content Design team for our crypto products in the US and European Union.

As a Senior Manager of Content Design, you’ll focus on designing iconic UX that grows the crypto customer base and motivates our existing customers to start trading crypto on Robinhood. You and your team will work in a fast-moving organization that keeps pace with the crypto market’s moves and trends through platform enhancements and new ideas. You’ll drive your team to balance between high-quality craft and crisp execution with agility and speed to learning. In addition to overseeing the team, you’ll also be a player from time to time on key projects that need strong leadership. You may be a good match if you’re familiar with crypto and Web3 products, and get excited about decentralized finance.

You’ll work cross-functionally with other product leaders, regulatory legal and compliance teams, operations, marketing, and creative teams to deliver more value to our customers. You’ll also have a direct hand in growing the Content Design organization at Robinhood. This role suits ambitious leaders who have a bias toward action and impact, know how to effect organizational change, and who are personally driven by Robinhood’s mission.

What you’ll do

  1. Develop and mentor a team of 3 Content Designers
  2. Lead weekly design workshops and reviews, and serve as a key collaborator in the product team, design leadership, and executive reviews—Product Design and Content Design function in unison at Robinhood, so we expect you to show up as a design leader
  3. Work with Crypto’s cross-functional leaders to develop business org priorities and strategies, project prioritization, and resourcing
  4. Work with other CD leaders to make decisions and own key initiatives for the Content Design org
  5. Roll up your sleeves and jump into IC work when needed

What you bring

  1. 6+ years of people management/leadership experience, both leading others while working closely with other senior partners
  2. 8+ years within the content design space
  3. Strong design and systems thinker, with a solid portfolio of mobile-first UX work
  4. Strong understanding of consumer marketing and communications
  5. Proven ability to drive product direction from ideation to post-launch
  6. Proven track record of performance management, pushing your team's work toward the highest quality bar
  7. Outstanding writing and editing skills, with the ability to embody Robinhood's brand voice
  8. Experience managing, crafting, and contributing to editorial guidelines that align with short- and long-term company goals
  9. Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting constraints

Bonus points:

  1. Sense of humor
  2. Experience working in the crypto space or trading crypto as a retail investor
  3. Experience with a financial services or fintech company
  4. FINRA Series 7 or 24

Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. $157,000 - $185,000 USD
