Summary

Flashbots is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to augment our data minded organization.

As a Senior Data Engineer you will collaborate closely with our teams of scientists and engineers to support critical products like Pareto Builder, Protect RPC, and SUAVE.

Due to working with confidential data, you may be subject to trading restriction policies.

What You’ll Do:

  1. Partner with stakeholders to understand and address their data needs, including Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Strategic Leadership.
  2. Create, maintain, and optimize data systems and pipelines that facilitate the easy consumption of data sets. This includes designing and implementing scalable data storage and processing solutions, setting up monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues early, and ensuring data quality and integrity.
  3. Ensure that the company's data handling processes are secure and compliant with our policies. This includes implementing appropriate access controls, encryption, and other security measures to protect sensitive data.
  4. This role is crucial in helping deliver on Flashbots’ core values, illuminating the dark forest, by contributing to and advocating for open sourced datasets and tools.

Who You Are:

  1. Familiar with blockchain infrastructure and the MEV problem space.
  2. Proficient knowledge of relational databases, OLAP systems, and orchestration tooling
  3. Senior level skills with Python or other programming languages.
  4. Production experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
  5. Deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
  6. Comfortable in a fast-paced, async, and remote environment.
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Disposed to action, finding out, and showing; curiosity to get to the root of the problems.
  9. Kind, independently motivated, accountable, and reliable.
  10. By default leave things better than you found them.
