Summary
This role will operate in the Compliance Data Science & Analytics team - chartered to put data at the center of the organization’s decisions - and play a pivotal role in driving the strategy of the team through data-driven insights and solutions. This role is crucial for supporting the evolving demands from banking partners and regulators, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of existing compliance programs.
You Will
- Lead and manage data-driven projects from inception to completion. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals. Collaborate with stakeholders to track progress, address challenges, and ensure successful project outcomes
- Design and analyze experiments to assess the impact of compliance programs, leveraging A/B testing and causal inference methods to drive actionable insights
- Conduct in-depth analyses of customer segments and products to identify compliance risks and evaluate the effectiveness of product controls
- Communicate complex statistical concepts and results to both technical and non-technical audiences and influence teams to take action based on your recommendations
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members on best practices
We're Targeting
- A Level 6 hire - typical experience for L6 would be something like BSc +7-10 years; MSc + 5-8 years; or a PhD + 3-5 years
- A background in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Economics or related quantitative field
- Proven results developing, managing, and executing complex, cross-functional projects
- Expert-level abilities in SQL and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, etc)
- Advanced skills in R or Python for statistical analysis and programming
- Deep knowledge of sampling methodologies and experience in building experimentation tools and applying statistical methodologies in real-world scenarios
- Success working in fast-paced, evolving environments and solving complex, ambiguous problems with data
- Domain expertise in risk management, financial services, or compliance
