Summary

An opportunity has developed with our partner entity for a Senior Finance Leader. As the company’s Senior Finance Leader, you will be responsible for developing and directing financial functions including financial policies, planning, reporting and controls. You will also be ensuring that the company’s financial transactions support the company’s overall business strategy while following all laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has an accounting degree or an MBA and has extensive treasury experience, in addition to experience managing accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

  1. Lead the finance department, which includes the financial operations and accounting teams.
  2. Implement procedures and controls to protect company funds/assets.
  3. Negotiate fees with vendors and payment companies.
  4. Manage a global team that operates 24/7.
  5. Create goals for the finance department that support the company’s objectives.
  6. Review and approve financial policies developed by the finance department.
  7. Analyze data and develop reports with accounting & finance data.
  8. Create and deliver financial presentations.
  9. Oversee treasury functions, including the movement of funds.
  10. Take the lead in completing the financial statement audit and manage the company’s external auditors.
  11. Be a mentor to finance department managers.
  12. Provide recommendations on strategic direction to the executive team.  
  13. Develop budgets, policies, and procedures that support the company as a whole.

Requirements

  1. Experience dealing with cybersecurity, phishing and other sophisticated attacks targeted at finance departments and financial institutions
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  5. Organized and detail-oriented
  6. Strategic planning skills
  7. Risk management skills
  8. Deep knowledge of accounting, audit, corporate finance, and treasury functions.
  9. Familiarity with QuickBooks
  10. Advanced proficiency in Excel
  11. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall finance function of a company is required.

Qualifications

  1. 5 to 8+ years of experience in a financial operations, treasury, or accounting role is required
  2. 2+ years of experience in a finance team leadership role is preferred.
  3. Professional work experience in a brokerage or in the fx industry is strongly preferred.
  4. Experience in crypto is an added bonus.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required; master’s or MBA preferred.

This position requires working 40 hours per week and is intended for candidates based in North America, South America, and Europe.
