The Role
Are you interested in building software applications from scratch? As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will help design and build brand-new, cloud-based, end-to-end software components for Fidelity’s new Center for Family Engagement (FCFE) digital business.
The Team
We are part of a new family-focused technology domain within Fidelity’s Institutional Technology business unit. From concept to launch, we strive to develop innovative suite of digital capabilities while employing modern technologies and crafting user experiences that delight. We design and implement digital solutions that promote and facilitate relational and emotional engagement among financial professionals, their clients, and families.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
• 6+ years' experience developing web/mobile applications including user interfaces, RESTful web services, and database operations.
• Good knowledge of Java / JEE
• Experience with Spring / Spring Boot / Hibernate Frameworks
• Proficiency in client-side development – Angular, NgRx, CSS, HTML
• Familiarity with software development in AWS hosted services.
• Some experience with Docker container development
• Knowledge of web/mobile development in a hybrid tech stack (Ionic/Capacitor/Cordova)
• Exposure to Storybook JS, Ionic, Spring MVC/Spring Core/Web Services, API management
software such as Apigee, and understanding of micro-frontends architecture is advantageous.
• Experience with web services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP, etc.) and Spring Framework
• Experience integrating with APIs and a good understanding of RESTful web services.
• Understanding and some experience working and integrating with database technologies
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory; basic knowledge of deploying
applications in a DevOps environment.
• AWS certifications such as Certified Developer or Solutions Architect are beneficial but not required.
• Knowledge of secure coding standards and practices
• Experience with Code Quality/Coverage Tools (Sonar or equivalent)
• Some experience with Test/Automation tools (Jest, Cucumber, Mockito, Selenium or any other mocking framework)
• Comfortable working in an Agile software delivery environment, with some exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• A solid understanding of fundamental design principles for building a scalable and resilient software application.
• Ability to work well within a team and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
